I've just seen the most meaningful chinese show on tv. I just want to tell everyone about this story,trying to translate it in english. Here it goes: Once there was thisyoung man name ba chi(idiotic) hui who was diagnosed with a mentally retarded illness. He has two buddies,one of which is xiao ping, the other one is xiao mei. Xiao ping has a fortune teller father who was once inlove with Hui's mother, Millies. Both of his buddies are childhood lovers since young.Xiao ping cares for Hui like his own brother, taking him to wherever he go, same applies to Xiao mei. Sinceyoung, Hui have only got motherly love from his mother call Millies. When the baby was born, the doctor havealready told Millies that her son will be mentally retarded. Despite several advice from others, she decidedto bring him up. She had spend most of her time being a widow and singing to earn a living at a opera theatre.Not long, A rich man found her and fall in love with her at love at first sight. She was very delighted that her sonis finally going to have a rich father and experience fatherly love. To her disappointment, that rich man wants only her and is not going to accept that mentally retarded boy. She has set her mind to go with this manfor the sake of getting money to raise the son till he gets old but she didn't tell anyone about it. She plead withXiao Ping's father, her ex lover to take care of her son when she's away. Everyone in the opera did a farewell for herand Hui did not know anything. He very soon heard from people that his own mum abandoned him for another man. He couldn stop thinking about it and this was when he realised his mum is no good. Soon after she was away, Hui met witha accident which nearer caused his life. He went under coma for 3 days and after 3 days, he was no longer anidiot, he was a genius,he could predict life of others and bring forture for one. Not long, he have neglected his buddies and treated everyone differently. He became famous, rich and can do whatever he wanted. After 3 months,Millies return to her country, as poor as before, because the rich man died of heart disease in bed and theirmarriage was not registered. Therefore, no money was acquinted to her and she came back empty handed. Posters of her son is around the street and when she found out that he was rich now, she was more than happy. When she met up with her son and ask for a reunion, Hui pretended not knowing her. He even told her in her face,"Anyone who abandoned their son is not a good mother. Madam please go home."She was very sad but still continuedback in her old life, singing, and waiting for reunion with her son. One day, the son bring his boss to the opera theatre and told him that the one singing on stage is my mother. He shouted out loudly that her singing sucks,and even pay millie's boss to ask her go off stage. His mother at that time even had to call her own son, Hui-ge. He told his boss to buy down the whole opera and let his mother live in vain. The opera theatre is a place where everyone of millie's friends made a living with. Not long later, he went to the doctor for a checkupand the doctor told him he may fall back to retardation again. This was the time he realise the people beside him,who cared for him in the past like Xiao ping, and he asked if he fall back into retardation, will you still bringme out with you in the past? Xiao ping reply was yes and they cuddle and cry with each other.They had fall outpreviously due to the fact that Xiao ping asked Hui to use his special talent to make him famous and excel in hisdancing career but Hui couldn't help him. Soon after, the opera was brought by Hui's boss without Hui recallingso and a desperate Millie went to plead with her son, asking him why have he done this to other people. She said: "ifit's me you want to harm, i'm here, don't harm them. The opera is their blood and sweat." She went down on herknees, this time, calling him grandpa Hui, kneeling down. Then, Hui falls on his knee too, recalling that she wasthe one who didn't abandoned him when he was diagnosed with mental retardation since he was 1 years old. This was the time when he started thinking how good the mother treated him in the past, and suddenly fainted. He was againretarded, and this time the mother had done all she can to care for him, and she had been a widow since then. Herson followed her till both grow old and recall old times together at the temple where the mother will cut his hairand bath him. The End.
